This year was the first where The CW programed original series to run over the summer months instead of repeats of their fall and spring lineups. The network so far has unveiled reality series The Catalina and Breaking Pointe. Today it has been announced that new episodes of Remodeled, The L.A. Complex and America's Next Top Model as well as new series Oh Sit! and The Next: Fame is At Your Doorstep have been given summer premiere dates.
Remodeled, Mondays at 9 - Starting July 9
The CW will resume airing episodes of this reality ratings dud from spring. During its spring run, the series aired six episodes. Beginning on July 9, the network will re-air the episodes from the beginning plus feature new ones. Remodeled stars larger-than-life modeling icon Paul Fisher as he deals with the challenges behind his modeling agencies.
The L.A. Complex, Tuesdays at 9 - Starting July 17
The L.A. Complex will return with the first seven new episodes from the Canadian imports second season. Leading up to the premiere, the network is encoring the entire first six episodes in its current time slot.
Oh Sit!, Wednesdays at 8 - Starting August 15
Hosted by Jamie Kennedy (The Ghost Whisperer) and Jessi Cruickshank (MTV Live), Oh Sit! will see 12 thrill-seeking daredevils racing head to head through five physically demanding, obstacle course-style eliminations as they each compete to claim a chair, to the sounds of a live band. At the end of the hour, only one contestant will be left sitting triumphant to seize the cash prize. Adding to the fun, Tanika Ray (Extra) will be in the trenches with the contestants both on and off the track and will add color commentary from the sidelines as the action unfolds.
The Next: Fame is at Your Doorstep, Thursdays at 9 - Starting August 16
In this new take on the music competition genre, superstar mentors - Joe Jonas, Nelly, Gloria Estefan, John Rich - will travel to where the talent is, immersing themselves in the lives and towns of these local performers and preparing them for the chance to represent their home city on stage, live, in front of America.
America's Next Top Model: College Edition, Fridays at 8 - Starting August 24
Cycle 19 of the show will offer an interactive experience where, for the first time in America's Next Top Model history, the public can vote and have a say in who stays and who goes in the competition. Right now, fans can go online at www.cwtv.com and vote for their favorite contestants based on photo shoots taken during production. These scores will be used by Tyra Banks and the judges to help determine who is eliminated each week and select viewer comments and videos will be featured in the show.
