Notes for this upcoming schedule:
  • Absent from this announcement are new seasons of returning series Last Man Standing and The Orville
  • Also absent are the new series Deputy, Duncanville, Filthy Rich, The Great North, Next, Outmatched and Ultimate Tag.
  • Moreover, The Masked Singer will actually be airing in both the fall and the spring - effectively renewing the unscripted hit for a third season. Moreover, the spring cycle will begin with an episode following the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 2.
  • The network also plans on using football to launch another new drama. The just-announced 9-1-1 spinoff, 9-1-1: Lone Star starring Rob Lowe, will debut following the NFC Championship on Sunday, January 19. It will then move into the same time slot held by the mothership the following night, Monday, January 20.
  • And finally, the network has confirmed that the upcoming sixth season of hit drama Empire will be its final one. The decision comes days after the network cancelled Lee Daniels' other drama Star and with the future of Jussie Smollett's role on the series still up in the air. The sixth and final season will also see the drama hit 100 episodes.

Trailers for the new shows will be available later today.
