Milo Ventimiglia to Play Daredevil Evel Knievel in USA Limited Series

USA has today given a series order to the original limited series Evel starring Emmy nominee Milo Ventimiglia (This Is Us) as '70s daredevil Evel Knievel. Production on the series is slated to begin in 2020.

The series will chronicle Evel Knievel as he prepares for his greatest death-defying feat - the historic Snake River Canyon jump. The series provides a portrait of a complex man living the American dream, juggling meteoric celebrity and raising a family - and the very real probability that his next jump will kill him.

Etan Frankel (Shameless) is writing the limited series. He will executive produce with Ventimiglia, McG, Mary Viola, Steven Bello, Alex Gartner, Charles Roven, Topher Rhys-Lawrence and Russ Cundiff. Universal Content Productions, Wonderland Sound & Vision, Atlas Entertainment and DiVide Pictures produce.

"USA Network is known for big event series that celebrate heroes, rebels and icons, and what could be bigger than the story of one of the greatest thrill seekers of all time?" said Chris McCumber, President, USA Network and Syfy. "The incredible life and journey of Evel Knievel lends itself to a dramatic retelling, and we are excited to be partnering with Milo, McG, UCP, Atlas and Wonderland to bring this iconic American tale to our viewers."
