'Hedy Lamarr' Limited Series Starring Gal Gadot Moves from Showtime to AppleTV+

After receiving a series order at Showtime last summer, the upcoming limited series Hedy Lamarr starring Wonder Woman's Gal Gadot has now moved to AppleTV+. The streaming service will now produce and distribute the eight-episode series.

The series will track the life of the late actress and inventor Hedy Lamarr (Gadot) who was once dubbed "the most beautiful woman in the world." Spanning 30 years from her daring escape from pre-war Vienna to her meteoric rise in the Golden Age of Hollywood and her fall and eventual disgrace at the dawn of the Cold War, the series is an epic tale of an immigrant woman both ahead of her time and very much victim to it.

Sarah Treem (The Affair) created the series. She will executive produce with Gadot, Jason Varsano, Warren Littlefield and Katie Robbins. Alexandra Dean and Adam Haggiag will co-produce. Lamarr's children Anthony Loder and Denise Deluca will consult. Endeavor Content, The Littlefield Company and Pilot Wave will produce.

The move to AppleTV+ comes after Treem departed her overall deal at Showtime for Fox 21 Television Studios late last year, following the end of The Affair after five seasons.
