Peacock Orders Series Adaptation of 'Field of Dreams' from Michael Schur

Just a few days after Major League Baseball played a game on the famous field, Peacock has today ordered a series adaptation of the 1989 feature film Field of Dreams starring Kevin Costner.

The series will reimagine the mixture of family, baseball, Iowa and magic that makes the movie so enduring and beloved.

The Good Place creator Michael Schur developed the series. He will executive produce with Lawrence Gordon, David Miner and Morgan Sackett. Universal Television, Fremulon and The Gordon Company will produce.

"Through the years, Field of Dreams has remained a fan favorite, maintaining its rightful position in the zeitgeist," said Lisa Katz, President, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. "It's whimsical and grounded, a space where Mike Schur excels, and we're looking forward to bringing a new version of this classic to Peacock."
