HBO Renews 'Animals' for Season 3

HBO has renewed its original animated comedy Animals for a third season, it was announced today by Amy Gravitt, Executive Vice President, HBO Programming. The second season finale airs tonight at 11:30/10:30c.

Animals focuses on the downtrodden creatures native to Earth's least-habitable environment: New York City. Whether it's lovelorn rats, gender-questioning pigeons or aging bedbugs in the midst of a midlife crisis, the awkward small talk, moral ambiguity and existential woes of non-human urbanites prove startlingly similar to our own.

Phil Matarese and Mike Luciano created the series. They executive produce with Mark Duplass and Jay Duplass. Jen Roskind is a co-executive producer while James Fino, Joe Russo II and Kenny Micka are producers. Duplass Brothers Productions produce while Starburns Industries provides the animation.
