TV News - 'Girls,' 'CSI,' 'Whitney,' 'Next Caller,' 'Suits,' 'The Good Wife,' 'Revolution,' 'Ben and Kate,' 'Golden Boy' & 'American Horror Story: Asylum'

        Wednesday, September 5 - Today's casting updates include new roles and upcoming guest stars on HBO's Girls; NBC's Whitney, Revolution and Next Caller; CBS' CSI, The Good Wife and Golden Boy; FOX's Ben and Kate; FX's American Horror Story: Asylum; and USA's Suits.


Rita Wilson (Sleepless in Seattle, The Good Wife) will appear on the upcoming second season of HBO's comedy, Girl. She will play the mom of Allison Williams' character, Marnie.

Kyle Richards (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, ER) will guest on an upcoming episode of CBS' CSI. She will play Ms. Young, a rich divorcee who Julie (Elisabeth Shue) questions after Young's neighbor is murdered.

Comedian Tone Bell (Single Ladies) has joined NBC's Whitney as a new series regular. He will play RJ, a new guy friend for Alex (Chris D'Elia) and possible love interest for Lily (Zoe Lister Jones).

Desmin Borges (A Gifted Man, Castle) has been added to NBC's new midseason comedy, Next Caller, as a series regular. He will play Darrell, the socially awkward confidant to Dane Cook's abrasive radio host.

Amanda Schull (One Tree Hill, Pretty Little Liars) will recur on the second half of USA's Suits' second season. She will play an ambitious assistant district attorney who butts heads with Harvey (Gabriel Macht).

Christina Ricci (Pan Am) will guest on an upcoming episode of CBS' The Good Wife. She will play Therese, an outrageous comedienne who uses her beauty for comedic effect. Her act is to shock people and joke around - even when she shouldn't - which will force her to use the services of Lockhart Gardner.

Grey's Anatomy and 24 alum Kim Raver has landed a pivotal recurring role on NBC's upcoming new drama, Revolution. More details on her character are being kept very secretively. The new drama has also cast Justified alums David Meunier and David Andrews in recurring roles. Meunier will play Strasser, a tough and psychotic militiaman who works for General Monroe (David Lyons). Andrews will play O'Halloran, a kind family man and former cop.

Geoff Stults (The Finder, October Road) has booked a recurring role on FOX's new comedy, Ben and Kate. He will play a single dad, who makes an immediate connection with Kate (Dakota Johnson). He will first appear in the Halloween episode airing October 30.

Valarie Pettiford will appear on CBS' midseason drama Golden Boy as the wife of Chi McBride's detective character.

Season 1 alum Frances Conroy will return for the second chapter of FX's anthology series, American Horror Story: Asylum. Creator Ryan Murphy teased on Twitter that this year's story involves "devils and angels" and Conroy will play "the ultimate angel."
