TV News - 'Continuum,' 'Royal Pains,' 'True Blood,' 'How I Met Your Mother' & 'Nikita'

        Tuesday, March 26 - Syfy has picked up the second season of the Canadian-produced sci-fi series Continuum starring Rachel Nichols. The 13-episode second season will premiere on Friday, June 7 at 10/9c. Throughout its first season, Continuum averaged 1.4 million total viewers with 540,000 landing in the 18-49 demo.


American Horror Story star Frances Conroy has been tapped for a multi-episode arc on the upcoming fifth season of USA's Royal Pains. She will play Blythe Ballard, a member of the Hamptons elite who lives next door to Hank and Evan's Shadow Pond. After Hank treats her for an arm injury, Evan is determined to make her one of HankMed's regular clients. But she's not so easily persuaded and has a few more surprises in store for the brothers.

Additionally, Callum Blue, Kevin Kilner, Liza Lapira and Stephen Bishop will be making appearances on Royal Pains. Blue will recur as Milos Kuester Ratenicz, the cousin on Boris (Campbell Scott) who has the same genetic disease, and Hank seeks answers from him surrounding Boris' death. Kilner and Lapira will guest as a couple who turn to Hank after Erika (Lapira) experiences strange symptoms before a big fundraiser. Bishop will guest as a minor league baseball player in need of HankMed's services.

House vet Karolina Wydra has booked a recurring role on the upcoming sixth season of HBO's True Blood. She will play Violet, a strong, sexy, possibly dangerous vampire on par with the Eric and Bill.

Casey Wilson (Happy Endings) and Keegan-Michael Key (Key and Peele) will guest star on the season finale of CBS' How I Met Your Mother. They will play a couple having dinner at the same restaurant as Barney and Robin.

Jessica Camacho (Last Resort) will guest on the April 5th episode of The CW's Nikita. She will play Rachel, a Division agent looking to break free of the Division once and for all.
