Shanten VanSanten (One Tree Hill) has joined the cast of the FOX drama pilot Gang Related from Chris Morgan and starring Ramon Rodriguez. She will play a doctor who treats Ryan (Rodriguez) for his bullet wound injuries and the daughter of the gang task force's captain.

Mercedes Masohn has decided to exit the ABC comedy pilot Mixology from feature scribes Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. Masohn was to play Maya on the single camera project and was one of the first actors cast on the pilot. As eight other actors boarded the series, Lucas and Moore tweaked some elements include changes to the Maya character. As the role went in a different direction, it became apparent that Masohn wasn't right for the role. The role will be recast shortly and Masohn is already fielding interest from other pilots this development season.
