TV News - 'The Good Wife,' 'Kirstie,' 'Rizzoli & Isles,' 'Believe,' 'The Leftovers,' 'Quarry,' 'The Strain,' 'Episodes,' 'Lost Angels,' 'Chicago PD' & 'Parenthood'

        Thursday, June 20 - Zach Grenier has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming fifth season of CBS' The Good Wife. He plays David Lee on the legal drama, the very vocal partner and head of Family Law at the firm. He has been recurring on the series since the first season.

Kristen Chenoweth (Pushing Daisies), Kristen Johnston (The Exes) and Cloris Leachman (Raising Hope) will guest on TV Land's new comedy Kirstie. Chenoweth will play Britney Gold, Maddie's (Kirstie Alley) conniving and ambitious snake of an understudy who will do anything or anyone to get onstage. Johnston will play a woman also named Madison Banks, a one-time aspiring actress who is now a broken-down waitress in a dive coffee shop. Leachman will play Shirley Kluszewski, Maddie's outspoken, hard-living, show business-hating mother who is estranged from her daughter.

Desperate Housewives vet Doug Savant will guest star on an upcoming episode of TNT's Rizzoli & Isles. He will play a mock trial adviser whose counterpart dies during a competition.

Sienna Guillory (Resident Evil) will not be continuing on NBC's new midseason drama series Believe beyond the pilot. The series follows an unlikely relationship between a gifted young girl (Johnny Sequoyah) and a man sprung from prison (Jake McLaughlin) who has been tasted with protecting her from the evil elements that hunt her power. Guillory's role as the first person seeking Bo will not be recast. Instead she will appear in the pilot before the show goes in a different creative direction in the following episodes.

Newcomer Margaret Qualley has been cast on the HBO drama pilot The Leftovers starring Justin Theroux. She will play Jill, Kevin's (Theroux) 16-year-old daughter, a former straight-A student feeling the gradual unwinding of the world around her.

Nikki Amuka-Bird (Luther) has landed a role on the Cinemax drama pilot Quarry starring Logan Marshall-Green. She will play Ruth, the wife of Quarry's (Marshall-Green) friend and fellow former Marine Artie.

Jack Kesy has booked a regular role on the FX drama pilot The Strain starring Corey Stoll. He will play Gabriel Bolivar who, in the vein of Iggy Pop - brooding and charismatic - corrupted his stunning good looks with Goth makeup and his sublime music with industrial shrieks and created an international rock superstar - with an insatiable appetite for recreational sex and pharmaceuticals.

Revolution star Tracy Spiridakos will guest on an upcoming Season 3 episode of Showtime's Episodes. She will appear as a family member of sexy actress Morning Randolph (Mircea Monroe).

Patrick Fischler (Mad Men, Lost) and Stephen Monroe Taylor (Anger Management) will recur on TNT's Lost Angels. Fischler will play Meyer Lansky, an uber mob boss. Taylor will play Phil Holtz, a known associate of mob boss Bugsy Seigal (Ed Burns).

Jesse Lee Soffer (The Mob Doctor) has just closed a deal to join NBC's midseason drama series Chicago PD as a new series regular. He will play a young police detective who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. Additionally, his character will first be introduced in a handful episodes this fall on the parent series Chicago Fire before segueing to Chicago PD.

Ray Romano has signed a deal to reprise his recurring role on NBC's Parenthood for its upcoming fifth season. He plays Hank Rizzoli, a photographer and Sarah's (Lauren Graham) love interest on the family drama - which is moving to the high-profile Thursdays at 10 PM time slot this fall. He will appear in as many as 12-15 episodes of the fifth season - similar to the amount he guest in in the fourth season. The fifth season will be comprised of 22 episodes - an upgrade from the 15 it had for its fourth season.
