Additionally, Eva Amurri will reprise her role as Schmidt's (Max Greenfield) competitive co-worker Beth in the same episode.

FOX's The Following casts Connie Nielsen (Boss, Law & Order: SVU) as a new series regular for season two. She will play Lily Gray, a Soho art dealer who is aided by Ryan (Kevin Bacon) after coming into some trouble and a connection forms quickly.

Matthew Atkinson (Jane By Design) has joined NBC's Parenthood for a recurring arc. He will play Zach, the drummer in the band fronted by Oliver (All American Rejects' Tyson Ritter) who becomes fast friends with Amber (Mae Whitman) while recording at the Luncheonette. Expect Ryan (Matt Lauria) to have something to say about the developing friendship.

Holland will play Algernon, a gifted, black Harvard-trained surgeon who fights for respect in the hospital while trying to navigate his way through the racially charged city. Rylance will play Cornelia, a driving force whose passionate social work at The Knick will always play second fidle to her wealthy father's philanthropy. Hewson will play Lucy, a young, naive nurse from the South who has come to New York for adventure and finds more of it than she ever thought she would. Angarano will play Dr. Bertram "Bertie" Chickering, Jr., an eager surgeon-in-training who gives up the chance to practice uptown in a wealthy hospital, for the romance and excitement of learning from a groundbreaking surgeon in the chaotic, downtown world of The Knick.

Starring John Malkovich and written by Neil Cross, Crossbones is set in 1715 on the Bahamian island of New Providence where the diabolical pirate Edward Teach, aka Blackbeard (Malkovich), reigns over a rogue nation of thieves, outlaws and miscreant sailors. Slade recently directed the first episode of Awake as well as several episodes of Hannibal.

Gildart Jackson - host of ABC's Whodunnit? - will guest star on The CW's Supernatural. Set to appear in the fourth episode, he will play Haggerty, a veteran member of the Men of Letter who will appear during a 1930 flashback.

Allie Gonino (The Lying Game) has joined the cast of Sundance's upcoming 6-episode drama series The Red Road. She will play Rachel, the eldest daughter of a struggling local cop desperately trying to hold his family together.

Leslie Hope (24, Revolution, The River) has joined the cast of the FX drama pilot The Strain starring Corey Stoll. She will appear as Joan Luss, one of the few survivors of the vampiric outbreak Dr. Goodweather (Stoll) and his team are investigating. If the pilot is ordered to series, Hope will recur.
