Hewson will play Lucy, a young, naive nurse from the South who has come to New York for adventure and finds more of it than she ever thought she would. Starring John Malkovich and written by Neil Cross, Crossbones is set in 1715 on the Bahamian island of New Providence where the diabolical pirate Edward Teach, aka Blackbeard (Malkovich), reigns over a rogue nation of thieves, outlaws and miscreant sailors. Slade recently directed the first episode of Awake as well as several episodes of Hannibal.

Gildart Jackson - host of ABC's Whodunnit? - will guest star on The CW's Supernatural. Set to appear in the fourth episode, he will play Haggerty, a veteran member of the Men of Letter who will appear during a 1930 flashback.

Leslie Hope (24, Revolution, The River) has joined the cast of the FX drama pilot The Strain starring Corey Stoll. She will appear as Joan Luss, one of the few survivors of the vampiric outbreak Dr. Goodweather (Stoll) and his team are investigating. If the pilot is ordered to series, Hope will recur.
