TV News - 'American Horror Story: Coven' Premiere Date Set; Two 'Supernatural' Alums Join 'The Originals'; Plus 6 More Updates!

Justin Bruening (Grey's Anatomy, Switched at Birth) will appear in a multi-episode arc on ABC Family's new drama series Ravenswood. He will play Benjamin Price, a high school teacher who has a special affinity for his students, connecting with them as a teacher and a friend. He will first pop up in the October 22 series premiere.

Fares Fares (Zero Dark Thirty) has joined the cast of the FX drama pilot Tyrant starring Adam Rayner and Justin Kirk. He will play Fauzi Nadal, an old friend of Barry's (Rayner) from the war-torn city known for his righteous opposition to his family's regime.

FX's American Horror Story: Coven will premiere on Wednesday, October 9 at 10/9c., FX officially announced. The third installment of the anthology series will star AHS staples Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters, Frances Conroy, Denis O'Hare, Taissa Farmiga and Alexandra Breckenridge as well as new to the franchise Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe, Patti LuPone and Emma Roberts.

Sarah Jane Morris (NCIS, Brothers & Sisters) will guest star on an upcoming episode of CBS' Criminal Minds. She will appear as the latest target of a serial killer in the sixth episode of the ninth season.

Zeljko Ivanek (Damages) will appear on the second season on NBC's Revolution. He will play Dr. Calvin Horn, a meticulous and deeply curious scientist.

Siena Goines (Criminal Minds) has joined the cast of HBO's untitled comedy pilot starring and written by Diallo Riddle and Bashir Salahuddin. She will play Simone, an accomplished author who has an on-again/off-agin relationship with Riddle.

Supernatural alum Todd Stashwick will recur on The CW's new drama series The Originals. He will play Father Kieran, a tortured priest who was once a diplomat between the humans and various supernatural factions in New Orleans. He will first appear in the fourth episode. Additionally, Sebastian Roche will reprise his The Vampire Diaries role as Mikael, the patriarch of the Original family.

The Walking Dead regular David Morrissey has been cast in the leading role of the AMC drama pilot Line of Sight from Blake Masters. The project centers on Lewis Bernt (Morrissey), a National Transportation Safety Board investigator who survives a mysterious plane crash, bringing him on an emotionally disorienting quest to discover the accident's cause. Additionally, Kai Lennox has also landed a regular role on the pilot as Tony Vie, one of the crash victims.
