TV News - A 'Friend' Heads to 'Scandal'; 'Fringe' Star Books Return Appearance on 'The Good Wife'; Plus 12 More Updates!

Olympic swimming multiple gold medalist Michael Phelps will make a cameo appear on the third season winter premiere of USA's Suits. He will appear as himself and apparently he is the only big talent that Harvey (Gabriel Macht) has failed at landing.

Marina Squerciati (Gossip Girl) has landed a series regular role on NBC's midseason drama series Chicago PD. She will play Kim Burgess, a feisty, sassy former flight attendant-turned-cop whose beauty belies a formidable inner strength.

ER vet Mekhi Phifer is joining the third season of Showtime's House of Lies in a recurring role. He will play Dre, a successful business mogul and clothing company founder who hires Marty (Don Cheadle) to help expand his empire.

Lenny Jacobson and Jon Bass have been cast on the Comedy Central pilot Big Time in Hollywood, FL. from Alex Anfanger and Dan Schimpf. The project follows two delusional brothers - Jack (Anfanger) and Ben (Jacobson) - who are self-proclaimed filmmakers, as they are kicked out of their parents' (Kathy Baker, Stephen Tobolowsky) house and end up on an epic cinematic journey. Bass will play Del, the brothers' child-like friend.

J.D. Williams and Tehmina Sunny will recur on the second season of FOX's The Following. Williams will play Carlos, a follower of Joe Carroll's (James Purefoy) who resurfaces in New York City. Sunny will play Melissa, a new friend of Ryan's (Kevin Bacon).

Alexandra Metz (Chicago Fire) will appear on The CW's new drama series The Originals. She will play Katie, a beautiful and mysterious witch with a hidden agenda that will have shocking ramifications for the supernatural community of New Orleans.

Amy Sedaris has booked a return appearance on FOX's Raising Hope for its fourth season. She will reprise her role as Delilah, Virginia's (Martha Plimpton) obnoxious cousin. Additionally, Mindy Sterling (Any Day Now) will guest star in the season's fourth episode as a quirky prosecutor.

The CW's The Vampire Diaries has added newcomer Rick Cosnett to its fifth season.  He will play Dr. Wes Maxfield, a brilliant yet cocky professor at Whitmore College. After meeting him, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) think he's hiding a dark and dangerous secret.

Actor-comedian Leslie Jordan is joining the cast of FX's American Horror Story: Coven. Details on his role - like much of the prior casting - is being kept under wraps.

The Office alum Oscar Nuñez has booked a recurring role on FOX's midseason comedy series Surviving Jack. He will play Lon, the annoying, recently divorced next-door neighbor of Jack (Christopher Meloni) and Joanne (Rachael Harris). Lon is also the Vice Principal of Las Palmas High School, the public school the couple's two children attend.

Daryl Hannah will guest star on an early Season 4 episode of CBS' Hawaii Five-0. He will play a shady real estate agent.

Michiel Huisman (Nashville, Treme) is joining the cast of HBO's Game on Thrones in a recurring role. Absolutely nothing is know about his character on the drama's fourth season. So speculate away!

Fringe vet John Noble will be making a return appearance on CBS' The Good Wife early in its fifth season. He plays Matthew Ashbaugh, a very litigious client of Alicia's (Julianna Margulies) who appeared almost exclusively in flashbacks in his debut episode as he was murdered and Alicia had to try to help the police think of who would have done it. Just how the character will return is very mysterious.

Friends star Lisa Kudrow has been tapped for a recurring role on ABC's Scandal. Details on her character are being kept under wraps either than she is a smart and powerful politician.
