30 Rock vet joins Lifetime pilot.

Mike Colter to appear on another CBS procedural.

Original star of The Tomorrow People joins CW remake.

Bethany Joy Lenz (Dexter, One Tree Hill) has landed the lead one in the E! drama pilot Songbyrd from Krista Vernoff and Diane Warren. She will play Lauren Byrd, a writer of hit love songs who employs a small staff, including her sister, to enable and manage her eccentric yet wildly successful process. When her ex-fiance reveals himself to be less than the man she remembers, she realizes that she can no longer live in the past and must find a new, true inspiration for her sake and those around her.

30 Rock vet Maulik Pancholy has joined the cast of the Lifetime drama pilot HR starring Alicia Silverstone. He will play Farshid, a Middle Eastern I.T. employee who has repeatedly drawn complaints from co-workers about his loud praying at various times of the day. Farshid is surprised when the newly changed Ellen (Silverstone), instead of firing him, thoughtfully gives him a new office where he can pray without disturbing anyone.

Mike Colter (The Good Wife, The Following) will guest on the October 9 episode of CBS' Criminal Minds. He will play Colin Bell, a man who risks everything and puts his own life on the line to save a sniper's next target.

Army Wives alum Sally Pressman is joining ABC's Scandal for a multi-episode arc in its third season. As with every piece of casting news for the series, details on who she will be playing are being kept secret. She will make her debut in an early November.

Nicholas Young - from the original U.K. version of The Tomorrow People - has been cast in a recurring role on The CW's upcoming update of the series. He will play Aldus Crick, the scientist who first discovered and studied the original generation of Tomorrow People. Stephen (Robbie Amell) thinks that Aldus may have information concerning his father's disappearance and by helping him puts Aldus back on ULTRA's radar.
