TV News - 'Private Practice' Alum to Recur on 'Scandal'; 'American Horror Story: Coven' Adds Danny Huston; Plus 8 More Updates!

Magic City alum Danny Huston has joined the all-star cast of FX's American Horror Story: Coven. He will appear as the sexy and dangerous boyfriend of Fiona (Jessica Lange).

Simon Merrells (Spartacus: War of the Damned) will recur on The CW's new drama series The Tomorrow People. According to EP Phil Klemmer, he will play "somebody who has a lot of power over Jedikiah (Mark Pellegrino)."

Tiny Fey, Miley Cyrus and Bruce Willis will be the first hosts for the 39th season of NBC's Saturday Night Live. Former SNL cast member Fey will host the Sept. 28 premiere with musical guest Arcade Fire. Cyrus will pull double duty as host and musical guest on Oct. 5. Finally, Willis will host the Oct. 12 episode with musical guest Katy Perry.

Matt Davis (The Vampire Diaries, Cult) is joined the cast of CBS' CSI in a recurring role. He will play a smart, athletic and competitive son of a decorated fireman. While on the surface outgoing, he is deep down a bit of a loner with the soul of a poet and the mind of a mathematician.

Kim Dickens (Deadwood, Sons of Anarchy) has been cast on the upcoming fifth season of USA's White Collar. She will play Peter's (Tim DeKay) ex-girlfriend from their time at Quantico.

Stephen Rider (Lee Daniels' The Butler) will recur on ABC's new drama series Lucky 7. He will plau Eric Mosely, a charming and handsomeYale-educated attorney who takes on Leanne's (Anastasia Phillips) custody case. He will first appear in the sixth episode of the series.

Private Practice alum Paul Adelstein is reuniting with creator Shonda Rhimes in a recurring role on the third season of ABC's Scandal. Of course, the details of his character are being kept secret. He will first pop up in a late October episode.

Showtime's new drama series Penny Dreadful has added Harry Treadaway (The Long Ranger) and Rory Kinnear (Skyfall) as series regulars. Treadaway will play Dr. Victor Frankenstein and Kinnear will play a mysterious character of "haunting intensity."

D.B. Sweeney has booked a recurring role on ABC's new drama series Betrayal. He will play Richard Goss, the ambitious, intense and formidable new director of the criminal division of the state's attorney's office. He will first appear in the series' sixth episode.

Mary Elizabeth Ellis (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) will appear on an upcoming episode of FOX's new comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She will play a medical examiner who is involved in one of the cases that Jake (Andy Samberg), Charles (Joe Lo Truglio) and Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz) are investigating.
