TV News - Richard Belzer Retiring on 'Law & Order: SVU'; 'Community' Sets Cameo-Filled Episode; Plus 5 More Updates!

Richard Belzer is leaving the cast of NBC's Law & Order: SVU as a series regular. Belzer has played the role of Det. John Munch since the 1993 debut of Homicide: Life on the Street. In 1999, the character segue to the Law & Order spinoff and has been there for the past 15 seasons. Although the character is retiring on the drama, viewers can continue to expect to see him on a recurring basis on the long running procedural.

Natalie Zea (Justified, The Following) has been tapped to star in the Amazon comedy pilot The Outlaws. She will play Julie Levin, the wife of a pro-football team owner who now need to run the flailing organization after her husband dies.

Peter Jacobson (House, Ray Donovan) has been cast on the Lifetime drama pilot HR starring Alicia Silverstone. He will play Moss Lieber, Ellen's (Silverstone) smarmy boss.

Kate Walsh (Private Practice), Joey King (Wish I Was Here) and Josh Close (Justified) have joined the cast of FX's upcoming miniseries Fargo. Walsh will play Gina, a trophy wife and reluctant mother of twin sons. King will play Greta, the daughter of Colin Hanks' police deputy character. Close will play Ron, Lester's (Martin Freeman) brother.

ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has tapped Titus Welliver to reprise his role as Agent Blake - the role he originated in the featurette Item 47 - on the sixth episode of the new drama series.

Brie Larson will be making a return appearance on NBC's Community as Rachel, Abel's (Danny Pudi) quirky friend. The episode she will appear in will also feature cameo appearances by Paget Brewster, Robert Patrick, Ben Folds, Kumail Nanjiani, Nathan Fillion and Katie Leclerc.

Paola Turbay (Royal Pains, True Blood) will guest star on the fourth episode of ABC's midseason drama Killer Women. She will play Carmen Garza, a singer who has been reduced to hosting karaoke nights in strip-mall bars - and a person of interest in the pursuit of a serial killer.
