FOX Makes Midseason Scheduling Changes - 'Glee' Moving Back to Tuesdays; 'The Mindy Project' & 'Dads' Going on Hiatus

Weeks after FOX initially announced its midseason premiere date schedule, the network is making several key changes in the hopes that it will better its current and upcoming crop of programming.

The Following will now return for its 14-episode second season with a special two-night season premiere event. It will premiere following the NFC Championship Game on Sunday, January 19 - replacing new drama Rake which was originally scheduled to debut that night but will now premiere in its regular time slot Thursdays at 9/8c. on January 23. The Following will then make its time period debut on Monday, January 20 at 9/8c. following the season finale of Sleepy Hollow (airing at a special time at 8/7c.)

The network has also made plans to overhaul its Tuesday lineup once again. The Mindy Project will air its winter finale on January 28. Beginning February 4, Brooklyn Nine-Nine will move to the 9:30 time slot following New Girl. Dads will continue airing new episodes until February 11.

Starting on Tuesday, February 25, Glee will return to Tuesday nights at 8/7c. for the remainder of its fifth season followed by new episodes of New Girl and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The Mindy Project will return to the lineup on April 1 after Brooklyn Nine-Nine finishes its first season.
