TV News - Aly Michalka Cast as New 'Two and a Half Men' Love Interest; 'The X-Files' Alum Joins 'Arrow'; Plus 4 More Updates!

Emily Swallow has been promoted to series regular on CBS' The Mentalist - two weeks before her first appearance on the procedural. She was cast in a three-episode arc as Kim Fischer, an enigmatic woman who will have a profound effect on Jane's (Simon Baker) life.

Michelle Trachtenberg (Killing Kennedy, Gossip Girl) has been cast on an upcoming episode of CBS' NCIS: Los Angeles. She will play Lily, a smart, witty, charming and physically capable environmentalist and private chef. She will appear in the December 17 episode.

Aly Michalka (Hellcats) has landed a recurring role on CBS' Two and a Half Men. She will play Brooke, Jenny's (Amber Tamblyn) new love interest. She is set to appear in at least two episodes - the first airs December 12.

ABC's Super Fun Night has added Saturday Night Live alum Fred Armisen for an upcoming episode. He will play Brian Headfoot, the exasperated head of HR at the law firm who is called in to broker a truce between Kimmie (Rebel Wilson) and Kendall (Kate Jenkinson).

The X-Files alum Nicholas Lea will appear on The CW's Arrow. He will play Mark Francis, a close associate of Walter's (Colin Salmon) who will play a crucial part in Moira's (Susanna Thompson) life after the trial. He will appear in episodes 12 and 13 of the second season.

Stephanie Szostak (Iron Man 3) and Blair Redford (Switched at Birth) have been cast on the untitled USA drama pilot from Sean Jablonski and starring Matt Passmore. The project follows investment banker Neil Truman (Passmore) and his wife, Grace (Szostak), as they struggle to sift through their stagnant marriage, looking for the spark they once had. When Neil discovers Grace has been seeing a debonaire male escort (Redford), his entire world is turned upside down. As he gains a new perspective on life and what motivates women, Grace contemplates her own needs and whether her marriage is worth saving.
