TV News - 'Dallas' to Return Feb. 24; Anna Gunn & Jacki Weaver Join US 'Broadchurch' Remake; Plus 7 More Updates!

TNT's Dallas will return for its third season on Monday, February 24 at 9/8c. The upcoming season will be split into two halves - with eight episodes opening the season and then seven more later in the summer months.

Anna Gunn (Breaking Bad) and Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook) have joined the cast of FOX's upcoming limited event series Gracepoint - a U.S. remake of the UK's Broadchurch. Gunn will play Detective Ellie Miller - the role played to much acclaim in the original series by Olivia Colman - a happily married wife and mother and police detective in the sleepy seaside town of Gracepoint. She has lived in the town her whole life but must look at it differently during a murder investigation. Weaver will play Susan Wright, a glowering and mysterious woman who lives in the local RV park with her dog.

Bonita Friedericy (Chuck) has been cast on the Lifetime drama pilot Unreal starring Shiri Appleby. She will play Dr. Wagerstein, the network-mandated show psychologist.

Tom Cavanagh (Ed) and Rebecca Budig (All My Children) will guest on an upcoming episode of CBS' Blue Bloods. Cavanagh will play Mickey, a longtime friend of Danny's (Donnie Wahlberg) who comes to town harboring ties to a crime family. Budig will play Connie, Mickey's wife, a lovely woman who has moved back East with her family, ostensibly to be near her ailing parents.

Marla Sokoloff (The Practice) will recur on ABC Family's The Fosters. She will play Dani, Mike's (Danny Nucci) new sober companion who ofter acts first and thinks later. She will first appear in the February 17 episode.

Paula Marshall (Nip/Tuck) and Diane Farr (Rescue Me) will appear on an upcoming episode of CBS' Two and a Half Men. Marshall will appear in two episodes as Paula, a new love interest of Alan's (Jon Cryer) who has a surprising past. Farr will guest in Marshall's second episode as Rachel, a woman with ties to Paula.

  • FX (2) -- Jen (script), a single camera comedy written by and starring Chelsea Lately regular Jen Kirkman; and Desperadoes (script), a miniseries about the infamous Dalton Gang in the 1890s.
