TV News - 'Treme' Star Heads to 'Scandal' as Olivia's Mom; 'Justified,' 'Archer' & 'Chozen' Get January Premiere Dates; Plus 10 More Updates!

Gael Garcia Bernal (Y Tu Mamá También, Amores Perros) has been cast on the Amazon comedy pilot Mozart in the Jungle. He will play Gustavo, an "enfant terrible: who's utterly devoted to his art as a conductor - but also to his image.

Will Yun Lee (The Wolverine) has joined the cast of the USA drama pilot The Novice. Lee will play Big Bang, a thug with a lot of anger issues who is a major player in the Korean syndicate.

Cheyenne Jackson (Glee, HR) has booked a new series regular on the HBO drama pilot Open starring Michelle Monaghan, Scott Speedman, Wes Bentley, Anna Torv and Jennifer Jason Leigh. He will play a handsome meth addict.

Jason O'Mara (Vegas, The Good Wife) has landed the lead role on the USA drama pilot Complications from Matt Nix. He will play John Ellis, a disillusioned suburban ER doctor, who finds his existence transformed when he intervenes in a drive-by shooting, saving a young boy's life and killing one of his attackers.

Russian actor Yuri Kolokolnikov will appear on the fourth season of HBO's Game of Thrones. He will play Styr, the Magnar of Thenn - the most warlike tribe from beyond the Wall.

Alexis Denisof (Much Ado About Nothing) will co-star on the MTV drama pilot Finding Carter. He will play David Wilson, Carter's (Kathryn Prescott) father, who frequently is the family mediator and the most levelheaded in the house. As a novelist, he saw his only real success with his true crime novel Losing Lyndon about the disappearance of his daughter. Now that his daughter is back and insisting on being called Carter, he wonders if writing a follow-up book, also being called Finding Carter, would fix what is broken in his family.

The fifth season of FX's Justified will premiere on Tuesday, January 7 at 10/9c. Additionally, animated comedies Archer and Chozen - the latter of which was originally set to debut on FXX but will now air on FX - will debut on Monday, January 13 at 10/9c. The company has also tentatively announced February 2014 as starting dates for FX's The Americans and FXX's Legit & Ali G: Rezurection.

Lori Loughlin will pop up on an upcoming episode of ABC's The Neighbors. She will play Debbie's (Jami Gertz) arch-nemesis.

Rob Corddry (Childrens Hospital, Community) is heading to ABC's Trophy Wife for an upcoming episode. He will play Sensei Rick, a martial arts instructor who runs a strip mall dojo that Pete (Bradley Whitford) takes his kids to for karate lessons.

Treme star Khandi Alexander has booked a major recurring role on ABC's Scandal. She will play Maya Lewis - also known as Olivia Pope's (Kerry Washington) mom. She will first appear in this Thursday's episode and be seen in flashbacks as she [SPOILER ALERT] was in a civilian airliner that was shot down by President Grant (Tony Goldwyn) when he was in the service.

ABC's The Goldbergs is staging a Bridesmaids reunion by welcoming Annie Mumolo for a guest starring appearance opposite former co-star Wendi McLendon-Covey. She will appear in an early 2014 episode as a rival "smother" to Beverly (McLendon-Covey).
