TV News - Damon Wayans, Jr. Sticking Around on 'New Girl'; 'Freaks & Geeks' Star to Guest on 'The Goldbergs'; Plus 10 More Updates!

Damon Wayans, Jr. has signed a new deal to stay on FOX's New Girl for the remainder of its third season. Initially, Wayans Jr. has only set to reprise his role as Coach a 4-episode arc which starting this last Tuesday. He will be billed as special guest star for the rest of the season.

Singer/TV host Mark McGrath is heading to ABC's The Neighbors for an upcoming episode. He will play an old bandmate of Marty (Lenny Venito) who returns to rehearse for their upcoming high school reunion.

Kelly Rutherford (Gossip Girl) has booked a guest spot on FOX's Bones. She will play Stephanie McNamara, an old acquaintance of Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) who becomes entangled in the latest investigation when her brother (guest star Mitchell Fink) is brought in for questioning.

Ashley Scott (Jericho) has joined the cast of the Lifetime drama pilot Unreal starring Shiri Appleby. She will play Mary, a 36-year-old single mom with a 4-year-old daughter who is a type-A financial advisor but has been unlucky in love and a hopeful contestant.

Martin Starr (Freaks & Geeks) will appear on an upcoming episode of ABC's The Goldbergs. He will play Andre, a video store employee who takes his job a little too seriously.

  • Lifetime (1) -- Blackout (script), a soap opera drama about a woman returning home after 10 years.
