TV News - Marcia Cross Eyes TV Return in FOX Comedy Pilot; Fred Armisen Returning to 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'; Plus 10 More Updates!

Ray Ford is reuniting with Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 creator Nahnatchka Khan on her new FOX comedy pilot Fatrick. He will play Maurice, the longtime best friend of leading man Patrick. He is the only one who knows "both Patricks" - the Patrick the guy of today and "Fatrick" the chubby kid - and now serves as his therapist. Also cast on the project are Dante Hoagland as the 12-year-old Maurice and Lucy Rust as the younger version of Patrick's sister.

In more casting news for FOX's pilot FatrickDesperate Housewives star Marcia Cross is eyeing her return to TV, landing the female lead role on the project. She will play Arlene, Patrick's mother, a nutritionist and a fit, energetic woman, she is rigid and intense when it comes to her family's eating habits.

FOX's Glee has booked Marlee Matlin (Switched of Birth) to appear as herself on an upcoming episode. She will appear as one of the judges at this year's Nationals.

Drake & Josh star Josh Peck will guest on an upcoming episode of CBS' The Big Bang Theory. He will play the owner of a rival - and extremely successful - comic book store. His episode will air on Thursday, January 9.

Fred Armisen (Saturday Night Live) is set to make a return appearance during the post-Super Bowl episode of FOX's Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He previously made a cameo appearance in the comedy's pilot as the oddball "Melipnos." In the upcoming episode Amy (Melissa Fumero) and Jake (Andy Samberg) will have another strange encounter with him while tracking down a suspect. Also joining the episode is former NFL player Joe Theismann who will play himself.

Michael Rapaport (Justified) has booked a role on the TNT drama pilot Public Morals starring Ed Burns. He will play Charlie Bullman, Terry's (Burns) partner and the muscle of the operation.

Pasha Lychnikoff will recur on FOX's upcoming drama series Gang Related. He will play Slotko Yegenev, the head of a Russian organized crime family.

Jim Watson (Copper) has joined the cast of FX's The Strain in a recurring role. He will play the younger version of Abraham (David Bradley). After being driven by the Nazis from his home village, young Abraham is caught and sent to a concentration camp, only to learn there is a greater evil in the world that he resolves to fight.

Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas) and Vincent Curatola (The Sopranos) will guest star on an upcoming episode of CBS' Elementary. The duo will play the heads of two warring mob families.
