TV News - Alex Kingston Returning to 'Arrow'; 'Sleepy Hollow' Casts 'Alias' Alum as Ichabod's Dad; Plus 11 More Updates!

Malcolm-Jamal Warner (The Cosby Show, Reed Between the Lines) has booked a two-episode arc on TNT's Major Crimes. He will play Lt. Chuck Cooper, a Special Investigation Section supervisor brought in to help protect Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin) from his stalker at all costs. He will appear in the December 30 and January 6 episodes.

Pablo Schreiber (Orange Is the New Black), Maribeth Monroe (Workaholics) and Geoff Pierson (Dexter) have been cast on the HBO comedy pilot The Brink. Schreiber will play Zeke Callahan, an ace Navy fighter pilot. Monroe will play Kendra Willis, Deputy Chief of State and lifeline to the hard living Secretary of State (Tim Robbins). Pierson will play Pierce Mullin, the hawkish Secretary of Defense.

Dan Hedaya (Family Ties, Monk, Clueless) will appear on an upcoming episode of FOX's The Mindy Project. He will play Danny's (Chris Messina) dead beat dad.

Alias alum Victor Garber is heading to FOX's Sleepy Hollow for an upcoming episode. He will play Ichabod's (Tom Mison) father in one of the final episodes of the 13-episode season.

Sydney T. Poitier (Kendra) has joined the cast of NBC's upcoming drama Chicago P.D. for a five-episode arc with an option to become a regular. She will play a new detective in a role that will also cross over on Chicago Fire.

Tim Daly (Private Practice) will recur on TV Land's Hot in Cleveland. He will play Mitch Turner, a handsome private detective who recently lost 300lbs. after competing on The Biggest Loser. He's the new owner of the detective agency where Joy (Jane Leeves) works. While she has an instant feeling that she's met the man she's going to marry, Turner is attracted to Melanie (Valerie Bertinelli).

Alex Kingston is returning to The CW's Arrow to appear in the fourteenth episode of the second season. Kingston appeared in a handful of season one episodes as Dinah Lance, Laurel's (Katie Cassidy) mother who returned to Starling City to make amends with her family.

Martin Donovan (Homeland, Weeds) and Salli Richardson-Whitfield (The Newsroom) have been cast on the Lifetime drama pilot The Lottery. Donovan will play Darius Hayes, the calculating director of the country's Fertility Commission who is willing to use any strategy to achieve what he believes is the greater good. Richardson-Whitfield will recur as Gabrielle, the first lady of the United States who is desperate to have a child of her own.
