TV News - Showtime Cancels 'Californications'; 'Psych' & 'Suits' Return Dates Announced; Plus 2 More Updates!

Showtime has announced that the upcoming seventh season of Californication will be the dramedy's final season. The new season is set to debut in April 2014. In a statement, Showtime affirms that the final episodes will wrap up the storylines of major characters Hank (David Duchovny), Karen (Natasha McElhone), Charlie (Evan Handler) and Marcy (Pamela Adlon).

USA also made some scheduling announcements today. The network will launch the 10-episode eighth season of Psych on Wednesday, January 8 at 9/8c. White Collar will return from holiday hiatus on Thursday, January 9 at 9/8c. for the final four episodes of its fifth season. Suits will return for the second half of its third season on Thursday, March 6 at 9/8c. and be followed by new comedy series Sirens at 10/9c.

Daniel Henney (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) has been cast in a multi-episode role on NBC's Revolution. He will play Peter Garner, a handsome, charming and incredibly intelligent character. He will appear in at least three episodes starting in the second season's 13th episode.

Frances Fisher (Titanic) will appear in the January 27 episode of ABC's Castle. She will play Matilda King, the editor-in-chief of Modern Fashion who once crossed paths with Beckett (Stana Katic) when she briefly flirted with a career as a model.
