TV News - 'Awkward' Returning in April; Chace Chawford & Gwyneth Paltrow Join 'Glee' 100th Episode; Plus 8 More Updates!

MTV's Awkward will return for its fourth season with a special one-hour premiere on Tuesday, April 15 at 10/9c. The following week, new comedy series Faking It from Carter Covington will join the lineup - airing in the 10:30/9:30c. timeslot.

Starz will launch the 10-episode second season of Da Vinci's Demons on Saturday, March 22 at 9/8c.

Oona Chaplin, John Carroll Lynch, Jordi Molla and Tammy Blanchard have been cast on the FX drama pilot Hoke starring Paul Giamatti. Chaplin will play Ellita Sanchez, a sharp young homicide detective recently promoted from dispatcher to Hoke's (Giamatti) new partner. Lynch will play Bill Henderson, an old guard Miami PD detective and Hoke's former partner who is equally as miserable in the recently diversified department. Molla will play Armando Zuniga, a sociopathic Cuban man who arrives in Miami in the rumpled, faded clothing of a peasant Cuban refugee and integrates into the city posing as a famous poet. Blanchard will play Loretta Hickey, the striking mother of a murdered drug addict who Hoke comes across while investigating the case.

Michael Rapaport, currently being seen in a major recurring role on FX's Justified, will guest star on an episode of FOX's Raising Hope. He will play Michael who joins the Chance household to determine whether or not Burt (Garret Dillahunt) and Virginia (Martha Plimpton) would be good parents to a puppy.

Gossip Girl star Chace Chawford will guest star on the upcoming 100th episode of FOX's Glee. He will play Biff, Quinn's (Dianna Agron) new love interest. Additionally, Gwyneth Paltrow is set to reprise her Emmy-winning role of Holly Holiday in the landmark episode.

Michael Chernus (Orange Is the New Black) will appear on an upcoming episode of ABC's Nashville. He will play Howie V., a very successful Los Angeles-based music producer who wants to turn Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) into the next Beyonce.

Tara Reid (Sharknado) will guest on an upcoming episode of ABC Family's Melissa & Joey. She will play Linda, the development director for a museum who hits it off with Joe (Joey Lawrence) at a bar while she's supposed to be acting as a wingman for a friend.

  • ABC (1) -- Untitled Beverly D'Angelo & Chevy Chase Project (Production Commitment), a single camera comedy reuniting the National Lampoon's Vacation co-stars.
  • NBC (2) -- A to Z (Pilot Ordered), comedy set at an online dating company; and Mason Twins (Pilot Ordered), a comedy from Casey Wilson & June Diane Raphael.
