Netflix to Release 'Orange Is the New Black' Season 2 in June 2014

Netflix stealthily revealed (through a teaser at the end of House of Cards' Season 2 finale, which dropped yesterday) that it will release the 13-episode second season of Orange Is the New Black on Friday, June 6.






The prison dramedy revolves around Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), who is sentenced to 15 months in a women's federal prison for transporting a suitcase full of drug money to her former girlfriend, Alex (Laura Prepon), ten years before the start of the series.

Orange Is the New Black was created by Jenji Kohan and features a huge ensemble cast that includes Kate Mulgrew, Michael J. Harney, Michelle Hurst, Jason Biggs, Taryn Manning, Danielle Brooks, Uzo Aduba, Natasha Lyonne, Laverne Cox, Dascha Polanco, Yael Stone, Vicky Jeudy, Constance Shulman, Samira Wiley, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Beth Fowler, Lea DeLaria, Matt McGorry, Pablo Schreiber and so many more.

New additions for the second season include Lorraine Toussaint, Stephen O'Reilly, Kimiko Glenn and Lori Petty.
