Casting News - Caterina Scorsone Returns to 'Grey's Anatomy'; Betsy Brandt Joins 'Masters of Sex'; Plus 4 More Updates!

ABC's Grey's Anatomy; DirecTV's Rogue; FX's The Bridge; History's Texas Rising; Showtime's Masters of Sex; and USA's Covert Affairs.





HISTORY's TEXAS RISING
  • Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Spartacus, Arrow) has been cast as the female lead on the upcoming miniseries. She will play Emily West, a mythic historical figure, later dubbed "the Yellow Rose of Texas," who gets caught in a love triangle between Houston (Bill Paxton) and Santa Ana (Olivier Martinez).
FX's THE BRIDGE
  • Franka Potente (American Horror Story: Asylum) will recur on the upcoming second season of the drama series. She will play Eleanor Schrock, a shunned Mennonite who has a no-nonsense attitude. She still dresses sensibly but there's a whole lot of sinister underneath her facade.
ABC's GREY'S ANATOMY
  • Private Practice star Caterina Scorsone - who starred as Amelia Shepherd on the former medical drama for three seasons - is returning to the drama series that launched the spinoff. She will first appear in an early May episode and then recur through to the end of the season. No details have been released on why she makes her way up to Seattle for this extended trip.
USA's COVERT AFFAIRS
  • Michael A. Goorjian (Party of Five, Alias) will guest star on an upcoming episode of the drama's fifth season. He will play Borz Altan, a former U.S. soldier who has become disillusioned with the American Dream. Annie (Piper Perabo) starts investigating him after she uncovers a threat he may be connected to.
SHOWTIME's MASTERS OF SEX
  • Breaking Bad alum Betsy Brandt has boarded the second season of the drama series in a recurring role. She will play Barbara, the new secretary to Dr. William Masters (Michael Sheen).
DIRECTV's ROGUE
  • The second season of the drama series starring Thandie Newton will premiere on Wednesday, May 28 at 10/9c. the network announced today. The second season will also star Cole Hauser, Andrea Roth, Rupert Evans, Alec Newman, Brendan Fletcher and Clayne Crawford.
