Casting News - 'CSI' Vet Joins 'Being Mary Jane' & 'Glee'; BD Wong to Reprise 'SVU' Role; Plus 5 More Updates!

ABC's Astronaut Wives Club; BET's Being Mary Jane; FOX's Glee; NBC's Law & Order: SVU; TBS' Sullivan & Son; USA's Graceland; and WGN America's Manhattan & Salem.




BET's BEING MARY JANE
  • CSI vet Gary Dourdan has landed a recurring role on the second season of the drama. He will play Sheldon Armstrong, a smoothly charming and casually handsome retired civil trial attorney who made a fortune suing corrupt corporations. He's coming out of retirement to pursue his charitable outreach. He's famous for never having given an interview in his life - but when Mary Jane (Gabrielle Union) sets out to interview him, he is quite taken with her and just might change his mind.
FOX's GLEE
  • Gary Dourdan has also booked a guest role on the current season of the FOX dramedy. He will play D'Shon, Mercedes' (Amber Riley) record producer.
WGN AMERICA's SALEM
  • Sammi Hanratty (The Unit, Pushing Daisies) has been cast in a recurring role on the new drama series. She will play Dottie, a leader among her peers whom Mercy (Elise Eberle) knows a little from school. She's a confident young girl who brings her classmates over to talk with Mercy. She's in awe of Mercy's power and wants her to put it to particular use.
ABC's ASTRONAUT WIVES CLUB
  • Aaron McCusker (Shameless, Dexter) has been cast as a regular on the upcoming drama series. He will play Wally Shirra, one of the original astronauts who's also a prankster.
  • Bret Harrison has also joined the cast of the drama today - reuniting with his former Breaking In co-star Odette Annable. He will play Gordon "Gordo" Cooper, the hotshot, young gun with an all-American swagger. His wandering ways has pushed his wife, Trudy (Annable) to the brink of divorce, but he's convinced her to come back so he can have his shot at space.
WGN AMERICA's MANHATTAN
  • Daniel London (Patch Adams) has joined the new drama series in a recurring role. He will play Oppenheimer, a genius and the guiding force behind the Manhattan Project.
NBC's LAW & ORDER: SVU
  • BD Wong is set to reprise his role as Dr. George Huang on the penultimate episode of the drama's fourteenth season. In the episode, Huang is brought in as a psychiatric consult to evaluate and testify about a suspect who's one trial for attempted kidnapping and the rape of a child. Wong was a series regular on the procedural for Seasons 4-12.
USA's GRACELAND
  • Coby Ryan McLaughlin (The Glades) has joined the drama series in a recurring role for its second season. He will play Archie, a mainstay in the Los Angeles Police Department's Gang Task Force, who is sharp as a tack and loyal to a fault. 
TBS' SULLIVAN & SON
  • The summer comedy is welcoming back a few familiar faces for its third season with Community's Ken Jeong, Mike & Molly's Billy Gardell and The Big Bang Theory's Kunal Nayyar all set to return. Jeong previously appeared in a Season 2 episode as Jason, Steve's (Steve Byrne) brother-in-law. Gardell popped up in both Season 1 and 2 as Lyle Winkler, a comic book collector and youth hockey coach. Nayyar played Neal in a Season 2 episode where he tried to win some ladies' hearts at Ladies' Night.
