ABC's Astronaut Wives Club; AMC's Humans; CBS' The Big Bang TheoryThe Dovekeepers & Stalker; Comedy Central's Another Period; The CW's The Messengers; FOX's The Following; NBC's Saturday Night Live; Syfy's Ascension; and TNT's Major Crimes.



NBC's SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE
  • Jim Carrey will serve as host of the late night sketch comedy series' October 25 episode, with musical guest Iggy Azalea.
ABC's ASTRONAUT WIVES CLUB
  • Hart of Dixie star Wilson Bethel has joined the cast of the midseason drama as a series regular. He will play Scott Carpenter, the most laid-back of the astronauts and husband to Renee Carpenter (Yvonne Strahovski).
  • Evan Handler (Californication) has also joined the series today in a recurring role. He will play Duncan Dunk Pringle, a former athlete who is now a PR officer at NASA.
COMEDY CENTRAL's ANOTHER PERIOD
  • Mad Men's Christina Hendricks has booked a major recurring role on the upcoming comedy created by and starring Natasha Leggero and Riki Lindhome. She will play Chair, a new servant on the estate who is not who she appears to be.
SYFY's ASCENSION
  • There has been a change to the premiere date plans for the 6-hour limited event series. Originally slated to air weekly starting Monday, November 24, the space drama will now air across three nights in two-hour blocks on Monday, December 15; Tuesday, December 16; and Wednesday, December 17 at 9/8c. each night.
THE CW's THE MESSENGERS
  • Jamie Bamber (Battlestar Galactica) and Riley Smith (True Blood) will recur on the midseason drama's first season. Bamber will play Vincent Plowman, the unapologetically aggressive co-chairman of Plowman Family Farms, who is on the cutting edge of new farming technology that would eliminate draught and famine worldwide. Smith will play Mark Plowman, Vincent's brother, whose heart is often in the right place but the shadow cast by his brother has planted some deep resentment.
CBS' STALKER
  • Alex Carter (CSI) will appear on an upcoming episode of the new drama. He will play Kenneth Black, a real estate mogul who loses everything as a result of his recent bad choices.
FOX's THE FOLLOWING
  • Gregg Henry (The Killing, Scandal) has been upped to series regular on the drama's upcoming third season - after appearing in two episodes of the second season. He plays Dr. Arthur Strauss, Joe Carroll's (James Purefoy) mentor.
CBS' THE DOVEKEEPERS
  • Sam Neill (Jurassic Park) has joined the cast of the upcoming four-hour miniseries. He will play Josephus, a first-century Jewish scholar and historian. He is seen interviewing the few adult survivors of the Siege of Masada in order to record the events that took place prior to and during the siege. 
TNT's MAJOR CRIMES
  • Zarah Mahler (Soul Doctor) will appear on an upcoming episode of the hit procedural. She will play Emily Raydor, Sharon's (Mary McDonnell) daughter who does everything she can to help keep peace in her family.
CBS' THE BIG BANG THEORY
  • Newcomer Kara Luiz will guest star in a November episode of the hit comedy as Howard's (Simon Helberg) cousin Jeanie who attends a party with Stuart (Kevin Sussman).
AMC's HUMANS
  • Katherine Parkinson, Tom Goodman-Hill, Gemma Chan, Neil Maskell, Colin Morgan, Will Tudor, Emily Berrington and Rebecca Front will lead the cast of the new drama. Parkinson and Goodman-Hill will play Laura and Joe, a strained suburban couple who purchase a refurbished synth (Chan). Maskell will play Pete Drummond, a member of the Special Technologies Task Force. Morgan will play Leo, a hunted young man. Tudor, Berringtong and Front will all play other synths.
