Casting News - 'Trophy Wife' Alum Visits 'The Goldbergs'; 'Murder in the First' Adds AJ Buckley; Plus 6 More Updates!

ABC's Fresh Off the Boat & The Goldbergs; ABC Family's Baby Daddy; The CW's Arrow & The Messengers; FOX's Sleepy Hollow; HBO's True Detective; and TNT's Murder in the First.




HBO's TRUE DETECTIVE
  • Ashley Hinshaw (True Blood) will appear in a recurring role on the anthology series' second season. She will play a troubled starlet.
THE CW's THE MESSENGERS
  • Winston Duke (Person of Interest) has been cast in a recurring role on the drama's first season. He will play Zahir Zakaria, a fiery journalist from Mali who is determined to seek justice after an agricultural experiment by Plowman Family Farms goes wrong in a West African village.
TNT's MURDER IN THE FIRST
  • AJ Buckley (CSI: NY, Justified) has joined the cast of the drama's upcoming second season as a new series regular. He will play Marty "Junior" Mulligan, Hildy's (Kathleen Robertson) brother, a police officer who is recently promoted into her unit.
ABC FAMILY's BABY DADDY
  • Eddie Cibrian (CSI: Miami) has been cast in a multi-episode arc on the comedy's fourth season. He will play Ross, a charming, chivalrous, genuinely good guy who gets transferred to a prestigious New York law office, has a romantic encounter with Riley (Chelsea Kane) and then realizes that he is her new boss.
ABC's FRESH OFF THE BOAT
  • Judah Friedlander (30 Rock) and former NBA star Scottie Pippen will guest star on an upcoming episode of the new comedy. Friedlander will play Ray, a cool new school counselor who urges Eddie (Hudson Yang) to channel his hustle into something more constructive: running for student council. Pippen will play a version of himself who visits the school to help Eddie's opponent win the election, but instead becomes fascinated by the entire Huang family.
ABC's THE GOLDBERGS
  • Trophy Wife alum Michaela Watkins will appear on an upcoming episode of the comedy's second season. She will play Mrs. Taraborelli, Adam's (Sean Giambrone) Spanish teacher who Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) wants to hire to tutor him after he receives a failing grade. That soon will not be enough for Beverly and she tries bribing the teacher to pass Adam.
FOX's SLEEPY HOLLOW
  • Jaime Murray (Defiance) and Sharif Atkins (White Collar) will guest star on the drama's second season. Murray will play a vetala, a ghostly being from Hindu lore who can inhabit corpses. Atkins will play Calvin Riggs, an upright photojournalist.
THE CW's ARROW
  • Marc Singer (BeastMaster) has booked a recurring role on the drama's third season. He will play General Matthew Shrieve, the leader of the Creature Commandos who will figure into the next portion of the Hong Kong flashbacks.
