AMC's PREACHER
  • AMC has officially given a pilot order to drama Preacher based on the popular comic book franchise. Sam Catlin wrote the pilot script, with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg set to direct. The trio serve as executive producers along with James Weaver, Neal Moritz, Vivian Cannon, Ori Marmur, Ken Levin and Jason Netter. Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon are co-executive producers. AMC Studios, Sony Pictures Television, Point Grey Pictures and Original Film produce. The project tells the story of Jesse Custer, a small-town Texas preacher who develops God-like powers after becoming possessed by a half-demon, half-angel infant named Genesis. Along with Irish vampire Cassidy and his ex-girlfriend Tulip, he then embarks on a mission to "literally find God" who abandoned Heaven after Genesis was born.

  • Cliff Curtis (Gang Related, Missing) has booked the male lead on the proposed spinoff of the mega-hit The Walking Dead. He will play a recently divorced teacher, a good man who tries to do right by everyone in his life.
