Casting News - Patrick Wilson, Ted Danson, Jean Smart and Nick Offerman Round Out 'Fargo' Season 2; Plus 3 More Updates!

ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.; FX's Fargo; NBC's Law & Order: SVU; and TBS' Angie Tribeca.





NBC's LAW & ORDER: SVU
  • Paul Adelstein (Private Practice, Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce) will guest star on the February 4 episode of the veteran procedural, titled "Decaying Morality." He will play the uncle of a rape victim.
TBS' ANGIE TRIBECA
  • Hayes MacArthur (Go On, The Rebels) has been promoted to series regular status on the upcoming comedy after guest starring in its pilot. He plays Jay Geils, the new police partner assigned to work with Angie Tribeca (Rashida Jones).
ABC's AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.
  • Battlestar Galactica star Edward James Olmos has joined the cast of the drama for the second half of its second season. He will play Robert Gonzales, a mysterious character whose arrival promises to have massive repercussions for Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the team.
FX's FARGO
  • Patrick Wilson, Ted Danson, Jean Smart, Nick Offerman, Brad Garrett, Kieran Culkin, Bokeem Woodbine, Jeffrey Donovan and Angus Sampson will round out the cast for the second season of the hit anthology series. Wilson will play Lou Solverson, a clean cut Minnesota State Patrolman, four years back from Vietnam. A humble and competent man, Lou is a devoted husband and father. Danson will play Hank Larsson, the Sheriff of Rock County, Minnesota and Lou's father-in-law. Smart will play Floyd Gerhardt, the matriarch of the Gerhardt crime family who thinks it's now her turn to run things when her husband gets taken out of the picture. Offerman will play Karl Weathers, the town lawyer of Luverne, Minnesota and a flowery drunk blessed with the gift of gab and the eloquence of a true con artist. Garrett will play Joe Bulo, the front man for the northern expansion of a Kansas City crime syndicate who plans on bringing a Walmart mentality to small town America. Woodbine will play Mike Milligan, Joe's number two who is part enforcer and part detective. Donovan will play Dodd Gerhardt, Floyd's eldest son, an impatient hothead with a cruel streak to match his ambitions who desperately wants to expand their business from kingdom to empire. Sampson will play Bear Gerhardt, the middle son of the Gerhardt family, an intimidatingly large man who, although inarticulate, is the most decent of his clan. Culkin will play Rye Gerhardt, the youngest son who views himself as a big shot, but in reality he's just a small dog who barks big.
