FOX's 48 Hours 'Til Monday, Luther, Frankenstein and Rosewood. Showtime's Billions and Roadies.
FOX's FRANKENSTEIN
- FOX has given a pilot order to drama Frankenstein written by Rand Ravich and produced by Howard Gordon. 20 Century Fox Television and Teakwood Lane Productions produce, with Hugh Fitzpatrick serving as co-executive producer. Taking inspiration from the classic Mary Shelley novel, the project centers on Ray Pritchard, a morally corrupt retired cop who is given a second chance at life when he is brought back from the dead. Now younger and stronger, he will have to choose between his old temptations and his new sense of purpose.
FOX's LUTHER
- FOX has given a cast-contingent pilot order to drama Luther - a remake of the acclaimed British series starring Idris Elba. Original series creator Neil Cross will also pen the US version as well as executive produce with Elba, Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope, Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner. 20th Century Fox Television, Chernin Entertainment and BBC Worldwide Productions will produce. Luther centers on John Luther, a near-genius homicide detective whose brilliant mind can't always save him from the dangerous violence of his passions.
FOX's ROSEWOOD
- FOX has also ordered to pilot drama Rosewood written and executive produced by Todd Harthan. Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen also serve as executive producers. 20th Century Fox Television and Temple Hill Entertainment will produce. As owner of one of the most sophisticated, state-of-the-art independent labs in the country, Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, Jr. - the top private pathologist in Miami - finds the secrets in bodies that others usually miss. Despite being constantly surrounded by death, Rosewood is obsessed with life and savors every moment.
FOX's 48 HOURS 'TIL MONDAY
- FOX has lastly handed a pilot order to single camera comedy 48 Hours 'Til Monday written by Charlie Grandy. Peter Traugott and Rachel Kaplan also executive produce, with Universal Television and TBD Productions producing. The project focuses on one husband's desperate struggle to not let every weekend go completely to hell.
SHOWTIME's BILLIONS
- Toby Leonard Moore (Daredevil) has been cast on the drama pilot starring Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti. He will play Chief Assistant U.S. Attorney Bryan Connerty, American born, blue collar and smart, but thinks he owes all his success to his ability to outwork the world.
SHOWTIME's ROADIES
- Ron White, Jacqueline Byers and Branscombe Richmond have joined the cast of the drama pilot. White will play Phil, the most famous and colorful road manager of all time, a weathered legend in the rock world. Byers will play Natalie Shin, a crazy-eyed, scarily ingenious super-fan/stalker of the band who will top at nothing to get close to them. Richmond will play Puna, the head of the band's security who has access to other planes of knowledge.
