AMAZON's CASANOVA
- After debuting a handful of pilots a few weeks ago, Amazon is already looking ahead to its next pilot season with an order for drama Casanova written by Stu Zicherman and produced by Ben Silverman. Amazon Studios and Electus will produce. The project chronicles a little known period in the life of one of history's most famous libertines and playboys. After Giacomo Casanova's wicked escapades run afoul with the inquisitors in his native Venice, he is sent to prison. After he stages an escape, the once materialistic and womanizing man moves to Paris with nothing, determined to start his life over.
LIFETIME's THE CLAN OF THE CAVE BEAR
- British actress-model Millie Brady (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) has been cast as the lead in the drama pilot written by Linda Woolverton. She will play Ayla, a child of the "Others" but raised by Neanderthals who matures into a young woman of spirit and courage and must fight for survival against the jealous bigotry of Broud, who one day will be clan leader.
