FX Sets April Premiere Dates for 'Louie' and 'The Comedians'

During his executive session at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour, CEO of FX Networks and FX Productions John Landgraf announced that returning comedy Louie will be paired with newcomer The Comedians starting Thursday, April 9 at 10/9c.





Kicking off the night at 10/9c. will be the debut of new comedy The Comedians. The series stars Billy Crystal and Josh Gad as two comedians paired together to star in a late night comedy series. The cast also features Stephnie Weir, Matt Oberg, Megan Ferguson and Dana Delany.

The Comedians was created by Billy Crystal, Larry Charles, Matt Nix and Ben Wexler, who all serve as executive producers alongside Mikkel Bondesen, Henrik Bastin, Carl Molinder and John Nordling. The first season will include 13 episodes. Fox Television Studios produces.

Louie will then return for its fifth season of 8 episodes at 10:30/9:30c. The Emmy-winning series stars Louis C.K. who also serves as writer, director and editor. Dave Becky and M. Blair Breard serve as executive producers, with Pamela Adlon and Tony Hernandez as producers. FX Productions, 3 Arts Entertainment and Pig Newtown, Inc. produce.
