Development News - Terry O'Quinn Joins 'The Adversaries'; Briga Heelan Books 'How We Live' Female Lead; Plus 12 More Updates!

ABC's The 46 Percenters, The Adversaries, The Advocate, Boom, Chev & Bev, Family Fortune, The Kingmakers & Mix; CBS' Doubt; FOX's 48 Hours 'Til Monday; and NBC's Heart Matters, How We Live, Strange Calls & Untitled Suzanne Martin.



FOX's 48 HOURS 'TIL MONDAY
  • Sarah Chalke (Scrubs) is set as the female lead opposite Rob Riggle on the comedy pilot. She will play Kelly Bishop, who is happily married to Charlie (Riggle) and the mother of their three kids. She quit her job as a local TV news producer to spend more time with her family, and is finding that being a stay-at-home mom is much more exhausting, time-consuming and frustrating than working in an office.
CBS' DOUBT
  • Elliott Gould (Ray Donovan, Mulaney) has been cast on the drama pilot written by Tony Phelan and Joan Rater. He will play Isaiah, the head of the boutique go-to criminal defense firm in New York City. His casting is formally in first position over FOX's Mulaney - which isn't expected to be renewed for a second season.
ABC's FAMILY FORTUNE
  • Lacey Chabert (Party of Five) has booked a regular role on the comedy pilot starring Fortune Feimster. She will play Nichole, Tyler's (Parker Young) wife and a devoted mom to their two young children.
ABC's THE ADVERSARIES
  • Emmy winner Terry O'Quinn (Lost) has been cast as the male lead on the drama pilot written by David Zabel. He will play Charlie, the head of the law firm Fisher, Fisher and Herrero. He's estranged from both his oldest daughter Jess and his wife Katherine - both of whom feel that he has some culpability in his son Kyle's downward struggle and eventual death. When Charlie is arrested in connection with the Cooper Landings' case, his wife convinces Jess to lead his defense team.
NBC's UNTITLED SUZANNE MARTIN PROJECT
  • Rules of Engagement alum Patrick Warburton will play the male lead on the comedy pilot written by Suzanne Martin. He will play Mike Gunn, an empty-nester whose plans backfire when his children along with his father (Stacy Keach) move back home.
ABC's BOOM
  • Rebecca Rittenhouse (Red Band Society) and India de Beaufort (Jane By Design) have landed regular roles on the drama pilot. Rittenhouse will play Kelly, Billy's wife. De Beaufort will play Jules Jackman, the sexy proprietor of the local salon and loan shark of the town.
ABC's MIX
  • Walter Perez (Fame) has been cast on the drama pilot written by Jennifer Cecil. He will play Mateo, Ray and Stella's son, a pediatrician.
ABC's THE 46 PERCENTERS
  • Nazneen Contractor, Ian Gomez, Jason Antoon and Malcolm Barrett have joined the cast of the comedy pilot written by Sherry Bilsing-Graham and Ellen Kreamer. Contractor will play Kiri, half of one of the main couples who is planning the most amicable divorce in history. Gomez will play Robert, a super affable high-school teacher who is crazy in love with his wife but misses the intimate connecter he used to have with her. Antoon will play Hari, Kiri's husband. No details were immediately released about the character Barrett will be playing.
NBC's HEART MATTERS
  • Melissa George (The Slap) and Dave Annable (Brothers & Sisters) have been tapped for the lead roles on the drama pilot written by Jill Gordon. George will play Dr. Alex Panttiere, who seemingly has it all together after being promoted to chief of innovation and becoming the "face" of the hospital, but can't commit to the man (Annable) she's living with - likely because she has feelings for someone else.
NBC's STRANGE CALLS
  • Daniel Stern (The Wonder Years) is set as the co-lead opposite Danny Pudi on the comedy pilot. Also cast on the pilot today are Allison Miller and Aliyah Royale. Stern will play Gregor, a peculiar, elderly nightwatchman who helps Toby (Pudi). Miller will play a local vet. Details on Royale's role were not immediately available.
ABC's THE KINGMAKERS
  • The Borgias vet Colm Feore has been cast on the drama pilot written by Sallie Patrick. He will play Dean Vandermeer, the dean of the university who eventually becomes Jacob's main nemesis.
NBC's HOW WE LIVE
  • Ground Floor star Briga Heelan has booked the female lead opposite Sam Huntington on the comedy pilot. She will play Holly, Russell's (Huntington) bubbly and full of energy wife who pours her energy into everything in her life, most recently trying to get pregnant, a challenge that is pushing her endless optimism to its limits.
ABC's CHEV & BEV
  • Cooper Friedman has been tapped to play Elliott, the youngest grandchild, on the comedy pilot starring Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo.
ABC's THE ADVOCATE
  • Kim Raver (24, Grey's Anatomy) has been cast in the lead role on he drama pilot written by Sheldon Turner. She will play Francis "Frankie" Reese, a tough, resourceful, type-A businesswoman at the top of her game who has a medical scare, only to be dangerously misdiagnosed, and experiences firsthand the hazards of our healthcare system. Shocking her friends and family, she leaves her career behind to become a brilliant and relentless advocate for anyone caught in the chaotic and ever-changing maze that is modern medicine.
