Development News - James Caan Joins 'Fantasy Life'; Hill Harper to Co-Star on 'Limitless'; Plus 6 More Updates!

ABC's Flesh and Blood, The Kingmakers, Of Kings and Prophets & Untitled Judah Miller; CBS' LFE & Limitless; and FOX's Fantasy Life & Frankenstein.





ABC's THE KINGMAKERS
  • Adrian Pasdar (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Kristin Bauer van Straten (Once Upon a Time) have joined the cast of the drama pilot written by Sallie Patrick. Pasdar will play Senator Adam Walden, possibly a member of the university's secret society who is now running for President. Bauer van Straten will play Maeve Vandemeer, an art professor at Braddock who is married to the dean (Colm Feore) of the school but has a complicated ongoing affair with Senator Walden.
ABC's UNTITLED JUDAH MILLER PROJECT
  • Mary Lynn Rajskub (24) and Marissa Janet Winokur (Hairspray) have been cast on the comedy pilot starring Megan Hilty and Greg Grunberg. Rajskub will play Susie, Gary's (Grunberg) twin sister, an opportunistic who is always starting a new business and asking her brother for suppose. Winokur will play Donna, the ultimate normal soccer mom and a strong foil to Irene (Hilty).
CBS' LFE
  • Reed Birney and Luke Slattery have booked regular roles on the drama pilot written by Paul Downs Colaizzo. Birney will play Scotty, the terminally ill father of new surgical resident Joe (Daniel Sharman). Slattery will play Bobby, Joe's brother, a troublemaking high school senior who happens to be brilliant.
FOX's FANTASY LIFE
  • James Caan (The Godfather) will co-star on the comedy pilot starring Kevin Connolly and Vanessa Williams. He will play Chuck, a legendary, tough and humorless ex-football player and coach who's on Mitch's (Connolly) new team working on Fox's Fantasy Football league show. He doesn't get fantasy football since he played real football and suffered real pain, however, Mitch eventually impresses him and he's willing to work with him.
ABC's FLESH AND BLOOD
  • Rupert Graves (Sherlock) has landed a regular role on the drama pilot starring Joan Allen. He will play John Warren, Claire's (Allen) handsome, warm and charismatic husband. For the past 12 years, he has poured his energy into writing a book series about grief as the loss of their child took a toll on his and Claire's relationship. Additionally, Madeleine Arthur will appear in the pilot as a young version of Willa Warren (played regularly by Alison Pill).
ABC's OF KINGS AND PROPHETS
  • James Floyd (My Brother the Devil) and Mohammad Bakri (Tyrant) have been cast on the drama pilot written by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage. Floyd will play Ish-Boseth, the youngest warrior son of King Saul (Ray Winstone) and Queen Anohim (Simone Kessell). Bakri will play Samuel, the last of the Biblical judges who hears and speaks for God.
CBS' LIMITLESS
  • Hill Harper (CSI: NY, Covert Affairs) has booked a regular role on the drama pilot starring Jake McDorman. He will play Boyle, a former military officer who is now an FBI asset with experience testing the effects of NZT on FBI Special Agents.
FOX's FRANKENSTEIN
  • Ciara Bravo (Red Band Society) has joined the cast of the drama pilot written by Rand Ravich. She will play Gracie, Ray's (Ray Kazinsky/Philip Baker Hall) granddaughter.
