Development News - March 23, 2015

FOX's Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life & Untitled Todd Harthan; and NBC's The Curse of the Fuentes Women & Take It From Us.

NBC's TAKE IT FROM US
  • Newcomer Chris Douglass has been cast as the male lead opposite Stacy Farber on the comedy pilot. He will play Luke, who is not a rule-follower but a risk taker. It's that quality that led him to move from Seattle to New York without a college degree to try to be a journalist. So far, it's working. Kind of. He's a lowly headline writer but is hoping to get promoted soon.
NBC's THE CURSE OF THE FUENTES WOMEN
  • Trace Lysette (Transparent) has joined the cast of the drama pilot written by Silvio Horta. She will play Gloria, the brash and transgender hostess at Cafe Fuentes who is never shy about voicing her opinions, often to her own detriment.
FOX's COOPER BARRETT'S GUIDE TO SURVIVING LIFE
  • Maureen Sebastian (Revolution) has landed a regular role on the comedy pilot written by Jay Lacopo. She will play Leslie Barrett, Cooper's (Jack Cutmore-Scott) over-achieving, loving and very self-sufficient sister-in-law.
FOX's UNTITLED TODD HARTHAN PROJECT
  • Gabrielle Dennis (Blue Mountain State, The Game) will co-star on the drama pilot starring Morris Chestnut. She will play Pippy Rosewood, Beaumont Rosewood's (Chestnut) younger sister who is a vital member of his pathology team.
