NBC Sets Premiere Dates for 'Mr. Robinson,' 'The Carmichael Show,' 'Last Comic Standing,' 'Hollywood Game Night' & More!

This afternoon NBC unveiled the second half of its upcoming summer lineup - with premiere dates for new comedies Mr. Robinson & The Carmichael Show; comedy import Welcome to Sweden; returning reality hits Last Comic Standing, Hollywood Game Night, Food Fighters & Running Wild with Bear Grylis; and new reality shows The Island & I Can Do That.




Mr. Robinson - which has been in the works at NBC for over a year now - will finally premiere on Wednesday, August 5 at 9/8c. It will be partnered with The Carmichael Show at 9:30/8:30c. - which only received a series order two weeks ago.

Mr. Robinson stars Craig Robinson, Peri Gilpin, Brandon T. Jackson, Ben Koldyke, Amandla Stenberg, Spencer Grammer, Tim Bagley and Meagan Good. Mark and Robb Cullen serve as showrunners, and additional executive producers are Howard Klein, Mark Schulman and Andy Ackerman.

The Carmichael Show stars Jerrod Carmichael, Amber West, Lil Rel, David Alan Grier and Loretta Devine. Carmichael and Nick Stoller created the show and executive produce with Ravi Nandan.

The two comedies will be thematically-paired with the new season of Last Comic Standing which will debut on Wednesday, July 22 at 9/8c. with a two-hour premiere before moving to its regular home at 10/9c. the following week, July 29.

Returning for its second season, Welcome to Sweden will premiere on Sunday, July 19 and will air two episodes back-to-back at 8/7c. and 8:30/7:30c.

The Island - a new reality series from Bear Grylls in which 14 American men are stranded on a deserted island - will make its series debut on Monday, May 25 at 10/9c. following the two-hour season premiere of American Ninja Warrior.

The Island will be replaced in the time slot on Monday, July 13 with another show from Bear Grylls - the second season of Running Wild with Bear Grylls. The celebrities who will be joining Grylls in remote and exotic locations were not revealed at this time.

New reality show I Can Do That - in which celebrities compete against each other with their unique talents - will premiere on Tuesday, May 26 at 10/9c, following the two-hour season premiere of America's Got Talent. Marlon Wayans will serve as host, with celebrities including Cheryl Burke, Joe Jonas, Nicole Scherzinger, Ciara, Jeff Dye and Alan Ritchson.

Replacing I Can Do That in the Tuesday slot starting July 7 will be the third season of hit reality show Hollywood Game Night hosted by Emmy winner Jane Lynch. Celebrities confirmed to be competing this season include: Gina Rodriguez, Zachary Quinto, Joe Jonas, Ming-Na Wen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Rex Lee, Jeff Dye, Zachary Levi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Seth Green, Tom Arnold and Curtis Stone.

And lastly, Food Fighters will return for its second season on Thursday, July 2 at 8/7c. - making a rather unique pairing with scripted dramas Aquarius and Hannibal.
