Netflix Gives Series Order to Untitled Comedy Created by and Starring Aziz Ansari

Two months after Parks and Recreation wrapped its seven-season run, several of its alums are re-teaming for a new untitled comedy on Netflix. The new series was co-created by Alan Yang and Aziz Ansari, with Ansari set for the lead role. Parks & Rec co-creator Mike Schur will also serve as an executive producer.

Details on the untitled comedy's plot are being kept under wraps, but rumors suggest it is loosely based on Ansari's life.

The cast for the show will also include H. Jon Benjamin (Bob's Burgers), Eric Wareheim (Tim and Eric Awesome Show), Lena Waithe (The Comeback), Noel Wells (Saturday Night Live) and Kelvin Yu (Bob's Burgers).

The comedy comes from Universal Television and 3 Arts Entertainment. In addition to Ansari, Yang and Schur, Dave Becky and David Miner will also serve as executive producers.

Production on the series is set to start immediately in New York City. The first season will include 10 episodes.
