Netflix Renews 'Orange Is the New Black' for Season 4

Two months ahead of its third season debut, Netflix has already handed out a fourth season renewal to prison dramedy Orange Is the New Black, it was confirmed by the streaming service early Wednesday morning.






Orange Is the New Black's third season starts streaming on Friday, June 12, with the fourth season arriving in 2016. 

The show has won more than 20 awards, including three Emmys, two SAG awards, two People's Choice awards, an NAACP Image award, a Peabody and a PGA award. The series has also been nominated for a Directors Guild award, four Golden Globes and six Writers Guild awards.

Created by Jenji Kohan, the cast for the upcoming third season will include Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon, Uzo Aduba, Danielle Brooks, Michael J. Harney, Natasha Lyonne, Selenis Leyva, Taryn Manning, Adrienne C. Moore, Dascha Polanco, Nick Sandow, Yael Stone, Samira Wiley and Kate Mulgrew.
