VH1 Renews 'Barely Famous' for Season 2

This morning VH1 has renewed docu-comedy series Barely Famous starring siblings Erin and Sara Foster for a second season. The new season will also consist of six episodes and debut in 2016.

Barely Famous is a half-hour series in which the sibling duo plays two sisters in a fake reality series navigating their careers and dating in L.A. while trying to maintain their picture perfect image. The duo's awkward celebrity encounters and efforts to book their next big gig go horribly wrong and the sisters prove that living the Hollywood lifestyle isn't easy - even if you're born into it.

The ratings for the show, which debuted in March 2015, aren't that great - averaging only a 0.1 rating in the Adults 18-49 demographic and 166,000 total viewers in Live+3 viewing.

"We're so proud of Erin and Sara and the hilarious show that they've created," said Susan Levison, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Production, VH1. "To see the show is to love the show, which smartly delivered on their original goal - to present a humorous take on reality TV and the rarified world of Hollywood. We're thrilled to renew Barely Famous and can't wait to work with them on the second season."

"We are thrilled that our audience fell in love with Erin and Sara and made Barely Famous appointment television," added showrunner Jason Carbone. "And now, to have VH1 pickup season two is icing on the cake. We have lots more stories to tell and can't wait to get to work."

Barely Famous is executive produced by Erin and Sara Foster, Jason Carbone, Nick Lee, Oly Obst, Josh Lieberman, Kimberly Carver, Susan Levison, Jill Holmes, Kristen Kelly, Fernando Mills and Tricia Biggio.
