Casting News - Blythe Danner and 4 More Join ABC's 'Madoff' Miniseries; Michael Esper to Recur on 'Shades of Blue'

ABC's MADOFF
  • Blythe Danner, Lyne Renee, Erin Cummings, Tom Lipinski and Frank Whaley have joined the cast of the upcoming miniseries starring Richard Dreyfuss. Danner will play Ruth Madoff, the wife of Bernie Madoff (Dreyfuss) and director of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities. Renee will play Catherine, the unassuming owner of a fishing store and Andrew Madoff's second wife. Cummings will play Eleanor Squillari, Bernie's personal secretary. Lipinski will play Mark Madoff, Bernie's older son, a trader with BLMIS whose desire for a larger role in the firm often puts him at odds with his father. Whaley will play Harry Markopolosa, an independent forensic and financial fraud investigator who made the discovery of Madoff's Ponzi scheme.
NBC's SHADES OF BLUE
  • Michael Esper (Nurse Jackie) has booked a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Jennifer Lopez. He will play Donnie Pomp, a lieutenant with Internal Affairs who tries to drive a wedge between Wozniak (Ray Liotta) and Harley (Lopez).
