Casting News - 'The Mindy Project' Casts Mindy's Parents; Terry O'Quinn Boards 'Secrets & Lies'; Plus 5 More Updates!

ABC's Secrets & Lies; Amazon's Bosch; Cinemax's Banshee; FOX's Gotham; Hulu's The Mindy Project; NBC's Chicago Fire; and Starz's Outlander.

  • Sakina Jaffrey (House of Cards) and Ajay Mehta (Royal Pains) have been cast as Mindy's (Mindy Kaling) parents on the comedy's upcoming fourth season. In the Season 3 finale, Danny (Chris Messina) went on a journey across the world to finally meet Mindy's parents and to tell them that he is the one who got her pregnant.
  • After recurring throughout the first season, Drew Powell has been promoted to series regular for the drama's upcoming second season. He plays Butch Gilzean, the chief henchman to Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) and, later, Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor).
  • Lost alum Terry O'Quinn has joined the drama's upcoming second season as a series regular. He will play John Warner, a charming and lovable finance magnate and the adoring father of three children. He built his Charlotte private-equity firm on a model of honesty and morality and has achieved great success. Now, ready to retire, he's passing the's passing the reins onto his heir apparent and eldest son, Eric (Michael Ealy). However, when the party celebrating Eric's promotion results in the murder of his wife Katie, John's plans are abruptly put on hold as he attempts to lead his family and his company through this shocking tragedy.
  • French actor Lionel Lingelser has been cast as King Louis XV on the drama's upcoming second season. As the King of France, Louis XV has a taste for the ladies and is used to getting whatever he wants - until he grows tired of people who no longer appeal to him.
  • Brent Sexton (The Killing, Complications) has booked a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. He will play Carl Nash, a former police detective who was shoved out of the department by internal affairs and who has a long history with Bosch (Titus Welliver).
  • After appearing in four episodes earlier this year, Dora Madison has been promoted to series regular for the drama's upcoming fourth season. She plays Jessica "Chili" Chilton, the new paramedic on Ambulance 61.
  • It has been announced this evening that the upcoming eight episode fourth season of the hit drama starring Antony Starr and Ivana Milicevic will be its last.
