Casting News - 'Legends of Tomorrow' Finds Its Hawkman; Adam Busch Boards 'Empire' and 'Colony'; Plus 4 More Updates!

Casting News - August 3, 2015

ABC's Castle; CBS' Hawaii Five-0 & Supergirl; The CW's Legends of Tomorrow; FOX's Empire; HBO's Game of Thrones; Showtime's The Affair; and USA's Colony.




FOX's EMPIRE
  • Adam Busch (Men at Work) has been cast in a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. He will play Chase One, a sexy, gifted, avant-garde gay artist who's doing a photo shoot, and is infatuated with his male star.
USA's COLONY
  • Adam Busch (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) has also booked a recurring role on the upcoming drama's first season. He will play Owen, a science teacher who hates the forced-curriculum he has to teach now that they've been colonized. A relatable guy who avidly studies astronomy and other sciences to figure out what exactly is happening in their world.
ABC's CASTLE
  • Jack Coleman will reprise his role as disgraced senator William Bracken in the Season 8 premiere of the hit procedural. He last appeared in Season 6's "Veritas," where he was being arrested. He will return in "a surprising way."
CBS' HAWAII FIVE-0 
  • NFL legend Jerry Rice will make a cameo appearance as himself on an upcoming episode of the drama's sixth season. He will run into the Five-0 team when they are relaxing after a hard day.
THE CW's LEGENDS OF TOMORROW
  • Falk Hentschel (Reckless) has been tapped to appear in a major recurring role on the upcoming drama's first season. He will play Carter Hall aka Hawkman, the latest reincarnation of an Egyptian Prince who is fated to reincarnate throughout time along with his soulmate, Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renée). Like Kendra, Carter can access the powers of the Hawk God, Horus, transforming him into the winged warrior known as Hawkman. He will first appear in the crossover episodes of The CW's Arrow and The Flash before continuing with the role in the midseason spinoff.
SHOWTIME's THE AFFAIR
  • Brooke Lyons (A Deadly Adoption) will appear in at least three episodes of the drama's upcoming second season. She will play Eden, Noah's (Dominic West) publicist who is highly effective at her job. She is very flirtatious with Noah and becomes a source of intimidation for Alison (Ruth Wilson).
HBO's GAME OF THRONES
  • Max von Sydow (The Exorcist, Minority Report) has joined the cast of the drama's upcoming sixth season. He will play the Three-Eyed Raven, the mystical tutor of Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright).
CBS' SUPERGIRL
  • Witches of East End star Jenna Dewan-Tatum has been cast in a recurring role on the drama's upcoming first season. She will play Lucy Lane, Lois Lane's younger sister. She is strong, smart and successful in her own right and has a history with Jimmy Olsen (Mehcad Brooks). She comes to National City to right a previous wrong.
