Casting News - 'Hannibal's Hugh Dancy to Co-Star on Hulu's 'The Way'; Emily Osment Boards 'Mom'; Plus 11 More Updates!

ABC's American Crime, Blood and Oil & The Muppets; Amazon's Bosch; CBS' Madam Secretary & Mom; The CW's Legends of Tomorrow; HBO's The Young Pope; Hulu's The Way; NBC's Chicago P.D. & Coach; Netflix's The Get Down; and Syfy's The Magicians.



HBO's THE YOUNG POPE
  • James Cromwell, Ludivine Sagnier, Silvio Orlando, Scott Shepherd, Cecile de France, Javier Camara and Toni Bertorelli have been cast on the upcoming miniseries starring Jude Law and Diane Keaton. Cromwell will play Cardinal Michael Spencer, a mentor to the Pope (Law). Sagnier will play Esther, the wife of a Swiss Guard. Orlando will play Cardinal Voiello, the Secretary of State. Shepherd will play South American Cardinal Dussolier. France will play the Vatican's head of marketing. Camara will play Cardinal Gutierrez, the Vatican's Master of Ceremonies. Bertorelli will play Cardinal Caltanissetta.
ABC's AMERICAN CRIME
  • Trevor Jackson (Let It Shine, Austin & Ally) has landed a series regular role on the drama's upcoming second season. He will play Aaron Lacroix, a standout student at an elite private school who finds himself at the center of a scandal involving the sexual assault of a fellow student, which brings suspicion upon himself and his entire family.
CBS' MOM
  • Young & Hungry star Emily Osment has booked a multi-episode arc on the comedy's upcoming third season. She will play Jodi, a street-smart, drug addict who Christy (Anna Faris) and Bonnie (Allison Janney) try to help get sober.
HULU's THE WAY
  • Hannibal star Hugh Dancy will co-star opposite Aaron Paul and Michelle Monaghan on the upcoming drama series. He will play Cal Roberts, the charismatic face of The Way. He's entangled in a complicated relationship with two other members of the movement, Sarah (Monaghan) and her conflicted husband, Eddie (Paul). Cal will battle personal demons and bold ambition as he strives to take the organization into its next generation.
ABC's BLOOD AND OIL
  • Miranda Rae Mayo (Pretty Little Liars, Days of Our Lives) has joined the cast of the upcoming drama as a series regular. She will play Lacey Briggs, the youngest daughter of Hap (Don Johnson).
ABC's THE MUPPETS
  • Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon (Walk the Line) and musical group Imagine Dragons will appear in an upcoming episode of the new comedy series this fall, it was announced during the show's panel at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.
THE CW's LEGENDS OF TOMORROW
  • Casper Crump (Tarzan) has been cast as the Vandal Savage on the midseason drama's upcoming first season. Vandal Savage is immortal and has spent 6,000 years moving like a virus throughout history - influencing dictators and despots - all to set himself up for world domination.
SYFY's THE MAGICIANS
  • Olivia Taylor Dudley, Rick Worthy, Anne Dudek, Jade Tailor and Esmé Bianco have joined the cast of the upcoming drama series. Dudley will play Alice, an intensely shy and delicately lovely young woman who emerges as the most brilliant magical practitioner in her class. Worthy will play Dean Fogg, the formidable Dean of Brakebills, an exacting leader and a keeper of secrets. Dudek will play Professor Sunderland, a smart, charmingly scatterbrained woman dedicated to teaching students how to hone their magical skills. Tailor will play Kady, a tough and rebellious student who attracts Penny's (Arjun Gupta) attention in and out of the classroom. Bianco will play Eliza, a paramedic who has a hand in initiating Quentin's (Jason Ralph) journey into real magic.
NBC's CHICAGO P.D.
  • Clancy Brown (The Flash, Sleepy Hollow) has been cast in a recurring role on the drama's upcoming third season. He will play Eddie Little, an inmate who Voight (Jason Beghe) met when he was incarcerated and who Voight now uses for information.
AMAZON's BOSCH
  • Jeri Ryan (Body of Proof, Shark) has landed a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. She will play Veronica Allen, a former stripper who married a prolific porn producer and now lives in luxury, turning a blind eye to her husband's constant philandering.
NBC's COACH
  • Andy Ridings (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) will co-star opposite Craig T. Nelson on the upcoming comedy series. He will play Tim Fox, Hayden's (Nelson) son, a successful high school football coach who is offered the chance to be the head coach of the Penn Institute of Science and Technology and carve a winning football team out of the dweeby student body.
NETFLIX's THE GET DOWN
  • Yolonda Ross (Bad Batch, Lila and Eve) has joined the cast of the upcoming drama series in a recurring role. She will play Ms. Green, the caring but tough English teacher who nurtures the potential in her students and advocates for them to pursue their talents.
CBS' MADAM SECRETARY
  • Chris Petrovski (Spartacus, Legend of the Seekers) has booked a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. He will play Dmitri, a bright and sincere young Russian military cade who's attending the National War College in the U.S.
