Casting News - August 6, 2015

ABC's Secrets & Lies; The CW's Reign; FOX's Brooklyn Nine-Nine & Empire; FX's American Horror Story: Hotel; and Syfy's Haven.

FOX's EMPIRE
  • Pitbull will guest star as himself in a fall episode of the drama's upcoming second season. In the episode, he will perform the song "No Doubt About It" with Jamal (Jussie Smollett).
THE CW's REIGN
  • Tom Everett Scott (Z Nation, Southland) has joined the drama's upcoming third season in a recurring role. He will play William, a really trusted advisor and counselor for Queen Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten).
FOX's BROOKLYN NINE-NINE
  • Bill Hader (Trainwreck, Saturday Night Live) has been tapped to play the new precinct captain on the comedy's upcoming third season. Not many details were released about his character other than he is really "efficient." He will appear in the Season 3 premiere, but it's unclear how many additional episodes he will also do.
FX's AMERICAN HORROR STORY: HOTEL
  • Witches of East End alum Madchen Amick will appear on the upcoming fifth season of the hit anthology series. No details were immediately made available about the character she will be playing.
SYFY's HAVEN
  • The hit drama series starring Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant and Eric Balfour will return for the second half of its fifth season on Thursday, October 8 at 10/9c.
ABC's SECRETS & LIES
  • The Shield alum Kenny Johnson has been cast as a series regular on the drama's upcoming second season. He will play Danny, a possible suspect in Kate's (Jordana Brewster) murder and who complicates Eric's (Michael Ealy) life. His thuggish appearance and ability to constantly show up at inopportune moments makes him downright scary.
