Amazon's Trial & Untitled Tig Notaro Project; Hulu's Future Man; and TNT's Animal Kingdom.





AMAZON's UNTITLED TIG NOTARO PROJECT
  • John Rothman has joined the cast of the comedy pilot written by and starring Tig Notaro. He will play Bill, Tig's (Notaro) stepfather, a stoic businessman who's hours away from becoming a widower. Additionally, Nicole Holofcener (Friends With Money) has been tapped to direct the pilot.
AMAZON's TRIAL
  • Olivia Thirlby (Juno, No Strings Attached) has been cast on the drama pilot starring Billy Bob Thornton. She will play Lucy Kittridge, a whip-smart, high-powered attorney who knows what she wants, which is money, sex and respect. Though she's brilliant, she's not as seasoned as she pretends to be, which gets her into trouble.
HULU's FUTURE MAN
  • The online streaming service has given a pilot order to Future Man, a comedy written by Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir. Additional executive producers include Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Matt Tolmach and James Weaver. Rogen and Goldberg are also set to direct. Sony Pictures Television, Point Grey Pictures and Matt Tolmach Productions will produce. The project centers on a janitor by day, world-ranked gamer by night who is tasked with preventing the extinction of humans after mysterious visitors from the future proclaim him the key to defeating the imminent super-race invasion.
TNT's ANIMAL KINGDOM
  • Ben Robson (Vikings) has landed a role on the drama pilot starring Ellen Barkin and Scott Speedman. He will play Craig, the tough, fearless middle son of the Cody crime family. A veteran criminal, he is an extreme-sports maniac and the most daring of the entire family.
