Development News - September 25, 2015

FX's Snowfall; TNT's Robbers; and TV Land's I Shudder.

TNT's ROBBERS
  • The cable network has given a pilot order to drama Robbers written by Christopher Cook and director Michael Dinner. Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly will also executive produce. Cook will serve as a co-executive producer. Sony Pictures Television and Timberman/Beverly will produce. Based on the novel of the same name, the project tells the story of a cop, two "running buddies" on a crime spree across Texas, and the girl who becomes the complication in a very unique love triangle. Everyone has a story. Everyone has a mystery.
TV LAND's I SHUDDER
  • Renee Elise Goldsberry (The Good Wife, Hamilton) has been cast as a series regular on the comedy pilot starring Hamish Linklater. She will play Lucy Wainscott, a lovely, high-spirited, down-to-earth woman. Although she was born rich, she lives a happier and more fulfilled life by driving an ambulance and helping anyone in need.
FX's SNOWFALL
  • Tim Matheson (Hart of Dixie) and Camila Banus (Days of Our Lives) have joined the cast of the drama pilot written by John Singleton. Matheson will play George Miller, Logan's (Billy Magnussen) father, a wealthy oil titan. A mover and shaker in political circles, he is enraged and disgusted by his son's antics. Banus will play Lucia Villanueva, whose father is a very successful drug dealer who almost certainly has given his daughter too much over the years. Her entitlement masks a deeply scarred soul. She now wants to take control of her life through whatever means necessary.
