- Carl Lumbly (Alias, Zoo) has joined the upcoming drama series in a recurring role. He will play Bert Goodwin, Sharon's (S. Epatha Merkerson) husband. Once virile and robust, Bert suddenly comes down with a physical ailment that ultimately factors into his relationship with his wife and the hospital where she presides.
